She went on to complete a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York under the mentorship of Dr. Klaus Busam.

"As a dermatologist and dermatopathologist, I have the most interesting job because I am able to meet with patients in the clinic, see their lesions and rashes under the microscope, and work to put the clinical information with what I see histologically. It's the best of both worlds!

I knew I wanted to be a dermatologist before I even applied to medical school. I have family members who were affected by skin cancer and that piqued my interest in the field early on."

Dr. Battle practices medical and surgical dermatology, as well as dermatopathology.
In her spare time, Dr. Battle enjoys traveling, reading novels, cooking, and spending time at the lake with her husband and their rescue dog, Maggie.
