Dr. Courtney Book is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who strives to provide every patient with compassionate care of the highest caliber.

A native of Boonville, Missouri, Dr. Book received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri, where she was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Rho Sigma honorary societies. During this time, she was also awarded the RAMS Community Service Award – an honor bestowed to a single university student who demonstrated a rigorous and exemplary commitment to community service. During medical school, she was involved in the formation of the University of Missouri’s student-run community health clinic, MedZou, for which she served as the first fundraising chair.

She completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where she was selected to serve on the hospital’s Resident Advisory Committee. Upon the completion of her dermatology residency, Dr. Book completed an accredited Mohs surgery fellowship with Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, under renowned surgeon Dr. Hugh Greenway, a direct protégé of Dr. Frederick Mohs (for whom Mohs surgery is named). Additionally, she received extensive training in phlebology (the branch of medicine that deals with veins and diseases of veins), and laser and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Book is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Lymphatic and Venous Medicine. She currently serves on the national Patient Safety Committee for the American Academy of Dermatology and is chair of the Community Service and Public Education Committee for the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Her work has been presented at national meetings and published in textbooks and several peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Book proudly calls Northwest Arkansas home and enjoys exploring all the natural beauty of the area with her husband and two children.
